Village of Fair Haven wins 2023 Disaster Preparedness Award

The American Public Works Association (APWA) Central New York Chapter has recognized a flood remediation project in Fair Haven, New York, with the 2023 Structures/Disaster Preparedness Project of the Year Award.

When high water levels brought flooding to New York communities along Lake Ontario, the State of New York rolled out a $300 million flood relief program known as the Resiliency and Economic Development Initiative (REDI). With the help of a $5 million REDI program grant, the Village of Fair Haven and C2AE worked together to not only repair damage but to make this shoreline community more resilient to flooding.
