C2AE worked with Kent Quality Foods, a producer of fine meat and sausage products, on their new manufacturing facility in Hudsonville, Michigan. The facility design considers raw and ready to eat food, employee circulation, and the production rates for various products. Functional areas of the plan include raw receiving, grinding, mixing, stuffing, ovens, packaging, and shipping storage areas for both refrigerated and frozen product. The site plan includes the potential for an onsite biomass energy production facility, utilizing the plant waste stream. The entire plan allows production to increase from 20 million to 40 million pounds of product without disrupting production.
