Village of Tupper Lake

Water District Improvements

Tupper Lake, New York

Before this project, surface water from two local lakes fed the Village of Tupper Lake’s 100-year-old municipal water system, which treated water through two diatomaceous earth filtration plants.

Nearing the end of its useful life, the Tupper Lake Filtration Plant was converted to a new groundwater well supply. Meanwhile, the Tupper Lake intake and treatment facility was decommissioned. The new system establishes two separate pressure zones to improve turnover in existing storage tanks, loop dead-end mains, and replace undersized distribution pipes.
