Clinton County contracted C2AE to execute a conceptual plan for Motz County Park, embracing the principles of universal design.

Formerly filled with gravel, the 42-acre Clinton County property was transformed into a user-friendly outdoor recreational area that incorporates features from Universal Access (UA) throughout.

The entrance drive and hot mix asphalt parking surface were designed for a capacity of 104 vehicles, including 45 ft. in front of the beach house reserved as a drop off location for public transportation and service agency
vehicles. Pedestrian pathways connect parking to the recreational area. All pathways are paved with concrete to improve user comfort and eliminate the possibility of burns to bare feet.

Since opening, this award-winning park has received significant daily use with upwards of 300 individuals present on the beachfront during peak visitation hours.
