North Star School

In 2024, Ingham Intermediate School District officially opened its doors to the all-new North Star School and a completely transformed Wilson Talent Center (WTC). These improvements took place under phase one of a master plan, developed by C2AE, aimed at creating safe, supportive, and effective environments for district learners.

North Star School—which combines two former programs—serves students with emotional impairments (EIs), while the Talent Center hosts juniors and seniors seeking career and technical education through hands-on learning programs. The North Star expansion to the WTC campus includes a gym and life skills classrooms. In addition, Talent Center saw renovations in areas such as culinary arts, construction trades, engineering, and cybersecurity/new media programs.

The campus also benefits from site safety enhancements, including reconfiguration of the bus drop-off area, as well as mechanical and electrical system updates.
