Hyboer, Lyes, and Andover Street Reconstruction

C2AE designed the reconstruction of Lyles Street, Heyboer Avenue, and Andover Street as a shovel-ready project for the City of Kentwood to implement when local funding arose.

The project introduced new aggregate base, concrete curb and gutter, driveway approaches, and HMA paving. The existing sidewalk on Andover Street was saved to the fullest extent possible, though sidewalk ramps were reconstructed. New sidewalk was added on Heyboer Avenue and Lyles Street. In addition, the existing 6 in. cast iron water main was upgraded to ductile iron with new hydrants and copper water services.
