A new launch site on the Au Sable River in Lovells Township, Michigan, uses an original transport system designed to move boats from the parking lot to the water. The community funded this site using a Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund (MNRTF) grant.

This project is one of many in rural Michigan aimed at kick-starting local economic development through placemaking. By investing in the state's beautiful beaches, parks, and trails, communities like Lovells can attract more residents and, ultimately, more businesses.
