Delta Township’s water department facility lacked adequate office and secure storage for materials and vehicles. At 12,000 SF, the new facility was designed with future expansion in mind. 

The 4,600 SF administration area provides a mix of private and open offices, complete with a conference room, break room, and restrooms. The 6,500 SF parking garage was constructed using a pre-engineered steel frame system to provide secure space for vehicles along with some minor vehicle maintenance.  

The storage area also includes a wash bay for equipment and is outfitted with power washers to assist in vehicle upkeep. An 800 SF mezzanine in the storage area provides additional space for small products used in the department’s daily operations. All storm water from the roof over the administrative area is collected and discharged from a large scupper into a lawn area designed and sized to handle a typical rain event. Systems, materials, and massing were selected to add interest to the building without adding significant cost.
