Daemen University

Facility Mapping in GIS

Amherst, New York

Daemen University was founded in Amherst, New York, in 1947. The 35-acre campus still supports several facilities as old as the institution itself. As is the case on many historic campuses, Daemen University didn’t have a standardized, up-to-date, and easily accessible record of its aging infrastructure. That’s why C2AE and Symbiont partnered with Daemen University to collect and synthesize campus data using geographic information system (GIS) technology.

This newly complete system is easy for Daemen staff to access and update. Daemen leadership can reference the GIS to make informed asset management decisions, create reliable budgets, and communicate better with constituents.
