McLaren Offsite Infrastructure Project Wins 2023 Engineering Merit Award

The American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Michigan honored a major infrastructure improvement project in Lansing with the Engineering Merit Award on Saturday, March 11.

As part of a large, multi-firm project team, C2AE led infrastructure improvements surrounding the McLaren Health Care's new 52-acre McLaren Greater Lansing medical campus. These efforts added a new roundabout at the intersection of Forest and Collins Roads, replaced the pavement on both roads, relocated communication duct banks, upgraded water main and sewer capacity, and connected new non-motorized facilities to the Lansing trail network.

Coordinating with a variety of funding sources, multiple utility service providers, McLaren Health Care, the City of Lansing, Michigan State University, and other stakeholders, C2AE developed cost effective engineering solutions for the infrastructure. The firm drew on an extensive background in healthcare, municipal infrastructure, and education design to collaborate effectively with all of the involved parties.

Congratulations to our talented design team!
