LANSING, MI—May 2,2011—C2AE, a full-service architectural, engineering, and planning design firm is pleased to announce the recent hire of Tobi Lyon, CAE, CFRE.
Ms. Lyon joins C2AE as a Business Development Manager, bringing with her an impressive background and experience in healthcare philanthropy, association management, finance, and sales.
Since her graduation from Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, IA, Tobi has held a variety of community relations, political, sales, and health care foundation positions throughout the Midwest. She moved to Michigan from Wyoming in 2008, when she took on the Development Director role for Sparrow Foundation where she managed major gift portfolios and fund raising efforts.
“Tobi’s outgoing personality and drive to succeed will have a tremendous effect on our ability to bring in new business and expand our presence in several key market areas within the firm,” states Rusti Owens, Business Unit Leader for C2AE.
Tobi has received several professional honors and awards throughout her career. Just last year she was named as one of the “10 Over the Next 10” award winners from the Lansing Chamber of Commerce. Other awards and honors she has received in the past 10 years include “Top 40 under 40 in Wyoming Who Made a Difference”; “Outstanding Business Woman and Leadership Award”; “Entrepreneur of the Year Award”; “Outstanding Community Service Award”; and “Leadership Excellence Award”.
Ms. Lyon is an active volunteer for numerous non profit organizations in the Lansing community. She serves on the Board of Directors for several organizations including the Rotary Club of Lansing Foundation, the MSU Alumni Club of Mid-Michigan, and the YMCA. She is also a member of the Rotary Club of Lansing, and the Junior League of Lansing. Tobi also currently serves as the Executive Director of the Wyoming Nurses Association in Gillette, WY, which she maintains via a virtual office environment.
