GRAND RAPIDS, MI—April 17, 2008—C2AE representatives will participate with Allegan County Medical Care Facility (ACMCF) staff in a Ground Breaking Ceremony on Friday, April 18, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. The ceremony will celebrate Allegan County MCF’s Households Construction and Renovation Project.
C2AE developed a master plan and is providing design services to convert an existing medical model care facility to an Eden model of living design. Construction of a new 9,000 square foot household will provide residents with a more homelike atmosphere, featuring a full kitchen, living room, and dining room. In addition, 3,600 square feet of renovations will provide a second Household environment. C2AE is performing all architectural design, mechanical, electrical and civil engineering services, as well as interior design services.
Allegan County MCF has been in operation since 1970, serving Allegan County residents in need of skilled nursing care and rehabilitative (physical, occupational, and speech), by partnering with area hospitals.
In addition to Allegan County MCF, C2AE is performing a variety of design services for four other medical care facilities, all of which are scheduled for completion in 2008, including Maple Lawn MCF (Coldwater, MI), Thornapple Manor MCF (Hastings, MI), Calhoun County MCF (Battle Creek, MI), and Hillsdale County MCF (Hillsdale, MI).
