C2AE Joins Celebration for Successful Completion of Michigan Avenue Project

LANSING, MI—October 23, 2007—Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero recently praised C2AE and all the other partner firms that contributed to the completion of Lansing’s downtown roundabout (traffic circle), which is located at Washington Square and Michigan Avenue. The roundabout, which is part of the overall $3.2 million Michigan Avenue improvement project, was officially opened at an October 17 ceremony.

“Our company is very pleased to have contributed to this major improvement to downtown Lansing,” Ray Tadgerson, P.E., C2AE Chairman and CEO, who spoke at the celebration ceremony on October 17, said. “It’s always rewarding to see the finished product after all the months of planning and hard work.”

C2AE, which is a full-service engineering, architecture and planning firm with offices in Lansing, Grand Rapids and Gaylord, was involved with the curb grading, elevation and drainage work for the project and also worked with another firm on the roundabout itself.

Mayor Bernero also praised C2AE in August for its work on the new Michigan Avenue rain gardens. They provide an environmentally progressive way to filter contaminants from storm water run-off before it flows into the Grand River.

“We’ve been here for over 40 years and we’re proud to lend our expertise to help make the city’s exciting plans for today and tomorrow become reality,” Tadgerson said.

C2AE (previously Capital Consultants/Design Works A׀E) serves the project needs of a broad spectrum of market sectors, including health care, commercial and retail, education, hospitality, industrial, libraries, military, municipal services, recreational facilities, site planning, transportation, wastewater/water and worship.
