C2AE Announces Opening of New Las Vegas, Nevada Office

LANSING, MI—February 8, 2008—C2AE, a full-service engineering, architecture and planning firm with offices in Lansing, Grand Rapids and Gaylord, is opening C2AE Nevada in the Las Vegas area, Ray Tadgerson, P.E., C2AE Chairman and CEO, announced today. C2AE Nevada also has established a strategic partnership with Sigma Engineering Solutions, Inc. of Las Vegas.

“Our firm has been growing the past several years through work done almost exclusively in Michigan,” Tadgerson said. “Now we have made an important business decision to pursue additional growth by opening an office in the Las Vegas area to take advantage of the stronger economy there and throughout the southwestern United States,” Tadgerson said. “This is indeed a great day for C2AE.”

He also said that C2AE will work on projects with Sigma Engineering while still building its own presence in the area. Sigma Engineering focuses on civil, flood control and structural engineering services for a variety of clients. “Their integrity in meeting their commitments to deadlines, quality and service has earned them a good reputation throughout southern Nevada and neighboring California,” Tadgerson said. “We realized we could work well together to help each other grow through strategic partnering. With our strong background in municipal engineering and related architecture, we are a good complement to Sigma, enabling each firm to tackle bigger projects,” he added.

Responsible for implementing strategic growth, Principal and Chief Marketing Officer Kevin Feuka, P.E., has spent the last year exploring and cultivating good relationships. “Through conversations with many potential clients in the region, we found it encouraging that our firm’s values, skills and experience could be well-received,” reported Feuka. “Michigan has been very good to us and continues to offer us great opportunities,” added Feuka. “No doubt it will always be our home. But, I am also excited about how this new venture can mutually benefit both firms and the southwestern region.”

Feuka has relocated to Nevada to establish the new office. He will work directly with Sigma to facilitate the two firms expanding full-discipline service to existing clientele while also exploring opportunities in both the public and private sectors.

C2AE Nevada’s primary focus will be to mirror its Michigan project and client types. “While we do not immediately look to directly serve the local tourism industry,” added Feuka, “we certainly won’t rule out the possibility if it appears to be a good fit in the future.”

C2AE (previously Capital Consultants/Design Works A׀E) serves the project needs of a broad spectrum of market sectors, including health care, commercial and retail, education, hospitality, industrial, libraries, military, municipal services, recreational facilities, site planning, transportation, wastewater/water and worship.
