HOLT, MI—January 15, 2008—Delhi Charter Township and C2AE officials today announced that a public information meeting will be held Wednesday, January 23, from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m., at Charlar Place, 4230 Charlar Drive, Holt, to provide up-to-date information on the timing of the work for the Keller Road-Delhi NE-Depot Street-Holt Road area construction project. The work will take place this summer and will include improvements to streets, storm sewers and sanitary sewers. C2AE, which is a full-service engineering, architecture and planning firm, is the consulting engineering firm for this project.
“Along with major construction projects inevitably comes some degree of inconvenience,” Stuart Goodrich, township supervisor, said. “In the case of the Keller-Delhi NE-Depot-Holt Road project, this will include temporary, short-term street closures as sewer lines are extended or replaced and new roadways are constructed. Of more significant impact will be the complete closure of Holt Road between Depot Street and the railroad crossing. This closure will be necessitated by the work of constructing a very deep sewer at this location and will last upwards of eight weeks,” he added.
C2AE engineers, who were retained by the Delhi Downtown Development Authority (DDA) to design and supervise this project will be present, along with township and DDA officials, at the public information meeting. “We will present the plans for the project and answer questions,” Scott DeVries, a C2AE project manager, said. “We also will listen to comments on how to manage this project in such a way as to minimize inconvenience to area residents and persons who travel in this area.”
Additional information may be obtained by contacting Al McFadyen at the DDA office at 699-3866 during normal business hours. He also may be reached by e-mail at al.mcfadyen@delhitownship.com.
