SAW Loan/Grant Funding
SAW – The Stormwater, Asset Management, and Wastewater Program for Michigan communities
SAW legislation was created in 2013 to establish grants and low-interest loans for asset management plan development, stormwater plan development, sewage collection and treatment plan development, and state-funded loans to construct projects identified in the asset management plans.
SAW established the program for the planning, design and construction of improvements for the collection and treatment of wastewater and/or stormwater systems. The primary focus of the funding is to encourage developing asset management programs that outline cost-effective improvements, operation and maintenance measures.
C2AE helped 25 clients secure over $19 million in grant funding for their stormwater, asset management, and wastewater projects! Nine of these communities were awarded nearly $5 million in the first round, with projects now underway.
Please let us know if we can help with your project or with a need to secure funding from the many other programs available.
